2024-25 Winter Basketball
Registration Dates: August 12, 2024 - September 21, 2024

Age Groups:  3-4-year-old Little Hoopers
                       5-6-year-old Basketball
                       8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U Basketball

Age Control Date:  3-4-year-old Little Hoopers (Must be 3 by September 1, 2024)
                                6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U (September 1, 2024)

The White County Parks and Recreation Department offers youth basketball leagues for children between the ages of 3 and 17.  Players learn the basic fundamentals of the game, technical skills, and sportsmanship in a fun and positive environment.  A copy of each participant's birth certificate is required.  All coaches (head and assistant) must complete a coaching application and a criminal background check before coaching.

2024-25 Heroes Basketball

• If your child’s disability makes it hard for him/her to participate in recreational sports
• If your child needs social skills-building practice
• If your child needs a way to get a little exercise in a non-judgmental environment
• If your child needs a safe, friendly environment to learn basic sports skills with caring, experienced coaches and volunteers who understand the special needs of children with mobility issues, learning disabilities, autism or other needs...Consider registering him/her for our HEROES LEAGUE!

Registration Dates: September 30, 2024 - November 9, 2024

Age Groups:  All ages are welcome!

Fee: $45

2025 Spring T-ball/Baseball/Softball
Registration Dates: December 16, 2024 - January 25, 2025

Age Groups:  3-4-year-old Lil' Batters
                       5-6-year-old T-ball
                       8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17 Baseball
                       8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17 Softball

Age Control Dates:  Lil' Batters (Must be 3 by March 1, 2025)
                                  5-6-year-old T-ball (March 1, 2025)
                                  8U-17U Baseball & Softball (September 1, 2025)

Fee:  3-4-year-old Lil' Batters - $35
         5-6-year-old T-ball - $60
         8U-17U Baseball & Softball - $80

Our recreation league soccer program focuses on skill development and player participation.  A copy of each participant's birth certificate is required.  All coaches (head and assistant) must complete a coaching application and criminal background check before coaching.

2025 Spring Volleyball
Registration Dates: December 16, 2024 - January 25, 2025

Age Groups: 2nd Grade - 8th Grade

Fee: $70

These leagues provide girls a chance to learn and play the sport of volleyball in a fun and safe environment (all skill levels welcome). Primary focus includes both instruction and game-play.

2025 Spring Track and Field
Registration Dates: December 16, 2024 - January 25, 2025

Age Groups: Ages 7-14

Age Control Date: Must be 7 by December 31, 2025,  May not be 15 prior to December 31, 2025

Fee: $70

2025 Fall Tackle Football
Registration Dates: April 7, 2025 - May 17, 2025

Age Groups: Kindergarten - 6th Grade

Fee: $110                      

The WCPRD youth football program promotes the development of the youth in our community in the sport of football, by teaching fundamentals, good sportsmanship, and teamwork.  We are affiliated with the Mountain Football League.  A copy of each participant's birth certificate is required.  All coaches (head and assistant) must complete a coaching application and a criminal background check before coaching.

2025 Fall Cheerleading
Registration Dates: April 7, 2025 - May 17, 2025

Age Groups: Kindergarten - 6th Grade

Fee: $95

The WCPRD cheerleading program teaches young athletes the essential skills to lead the crowd and support the home team.  Cheer participants will learn cheers, proper hand and body movements, as well as jumping techniques.  Youth cheer focuses on fun!  A copy of each participant's birth certificate is required.  All coaches (head and assistant) must complete a coaching application and a criminal background check before coaching.

2025 Fall Girls Flag Football

Registration Dates: April 7, 2025 - May 17, 2025

Age Groups: 2nd grade - 8th grade

Fee: $70

The WCPRD Girls Flag Football program is a non-contact youth flag football league for children in grades 2nd - 8th. Our leagues provide a safe, positive, competitive, and family-friendly environment to learn the game the right way and have fun doing it!  Teams will play in the MFL Girls Flag Football League.
