The White County Convenience and Recycling Center accepts bagged household garbage (33 gallon bag max).

Fee Schedule

One through six bags - $5.00
For each bag over 6, add $0.50

There is no fee for recycling.

The center also accepts common recyclables such as:

Newspaper
Magazines
Flattened Corrugated Paper
Aluminum and Metal Cans
HDPE & PETE Plastics

Determining Recyclable Plastics

The White County Convenience and Recycling Center accepts PETE (polyethylene terephthalate) and HDPE (high density polyethylene) plastics.

To determine if a plastic container is recyclable follow this simple guide:

PETE Plastics - PETE plastics are see through but not always clear in color. Common examples include soda bottles, peanut butter jars, and hand soap containers. PETE plastics also contain a 1 on the bottom of the container.

HDPE Plastics - HDPE plastics are usually dyed a different color and are opaque. Common examples include milk jugs and laundry detergent containers. HDPE plastics also contain a 2 on the bottom of the container.
