The opening and processing of absentee ballots will continue day to day, including weekend days, if necessary, and take place at the Elections & Registration Office, 1241 Helen Highway Suite 210, Cleveland, Georgia 30528. Notice is hereby given that White County Board of Elections and Registration will adjourned its Vote Review and Duplication Panel on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 7:30pm at the Mauney Building, at 1241 Helen Hwy, Suite 210A, Cleveland, GA 30528. Under GA - Official Code of Georgia Annotated O.C.G.A. § 21-2-483 (g) (2) (A) In a nonpartisan election, the panel shall be composed of the election superintendent or designee thereof and two electors of the county, in the case of a county election, or the municipality, in the case of a municipal election, appointed by the chief judge of the superior court of the county in which the election is held or, in the case of a municipality which is located in more than one county, of the county in which the city hall of the municipality is located. The panel shall manually review all ballots rejected by the tabulator under paragraph (1) of this subsection and shall determine by majority vote whether the elector’s intent can be determined as described in subsection (c) of Code Section 21-2-438 and, if so, said vote shall be counted as the elector intended. In the event of a tie vote by the vote review panel, the vote of the election superintendent or designee thereof shall control.

White County will conduct a General Election for the City of Helen on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of electing the following:

BOARD MEETING LOCATION CHANGE
The Board of Elections and Registration will move it's meetings effective May 1, 2023.
Due to increased attendance numbers, future meetings will be held in the Conference Room of the Community and Economic Development across the hall from the Elections and Registration Office.
NOTICE OF LOCATION CHANGE OF POLLING PLACE
Effective March 15, 2023 the Blue Creek Voting Precinct moved to a new location. The Precinct will continue to be known as "Blue Creek" and Poll Location will move to the Social Hall at The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. The address of the Blue Creek Polling Location will be 1755 Duncan Bridge Rd, Sautee Nacoochee, GA 30571.
The reason for this move is the current voting facilities at the Blue Creek Baptist Church Community Building does not adhere to ADA specifications pursuant to Georgia Code § 21-2-265.

Notice is hereby given that Logic and Accuracy Testing on the voting equipment to be used in the March 12, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary Election is scheduled to begin on Monday, February 12, 2024 and will continue day to day, including weekend days, if needed, until complete. Testing of the election equipment is set to begin no earlier than 9:00 a.m. daily and will not continue past 5:00 p.m., and while testing will occur during these hours, it may not take place the entire time each day. Testing will take place at the Mauney Building in the White County Board of Elections & Registration Office located at 1241 Helen Highway, Suite 210, Cleveland, GA 30528. NOTICE OF VOTE REVIEW AND DUPLICATION PANEL
Notice is hereby given that White County Board of Elections and Registration will adjourned its Vote Review and Duplication Panel on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 7:30pm at the Mauney Building, at 1241 Helen Hwy, Suite 210A, Cleveland, GA 30528. Under GA - Official Code of Georgia Annotated O.C.G.A. § 21-2-483 (g) (2) (A) In a nonpartisan election, the panel shall be composed of the election superintendent or designee thereof and two electors of the county, in the case of a county election, or the municipality, in the case of a municipal election, appointed by the chief judge of the superior court of the county in which the election is held or, in the case of a municipality which is located in more than one county, of the county in which the city hall of the municipality is located. The panel shall manually review all ballots rejected by the tabulator under paragraph (1) of this subsection and shall determine by majority vote whether the elector’s intent can be determined as described in subsection (c) of Code Section 21-2-438 and, if so, said vote shall be counted as the elector intended. In the event of a tie vote by the vote review panel, the vote of the election superintendent or designee thereof shall control.

Notice of Call of 2023 General Election for the City of Helen, Georgia
White County will conduct a General Election for the City of Helen on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., for the purpose of electing the following:
(A) The office of Council Member of the City of Helen, Georgia, will be elected at large for a four (4) year term, beginning January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027 with said seat currently held by Jeff Ash.

BOARD MEETING LOCATION CHANGE
The Board of Elections and Registration will move it's meetings effective May 1, 2023.
Due to increased attendance numbers, future meetings will be held in the Conference Room of the Community and Economic Development across the hall from the Elections and Registration Office.
NOTICE OF LOCATION CHANGE OF POLLING PLACE
Effective March 15, 2023 the Blue Creek Voting Precinct moved to a new location. The Precinct will continue to be known as "Blue Creek" and Poll Location will move to the Social Hall at The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection. The address of the Blue Creek Polling Location will be 1755 Duncan Bridge Rd, Sautee Nacoochee, GA 30571.
The reason for this move is the current voting facilities at the Blue Creek Baptist Church Community Building does not adhere to ADA specifications pursuant to Georgia Code § 21-2-265.

A public hearing regarding the move of the Blue Creek Polling Location was held at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of the Elections and Registration on January 9, 2023.
