Location

White County is located in Northeast Georgia between the encompassing Appalachian Mountains and the headwaters of the upper Chattahoochee River. More specifically, White County is located between Towns, Union, Lumpkin, Hall, and Habersham County. The county seat, Cleveland, is located at 34º58'N 83º76'W or the 30528 area code. White County is approximately 90 miles northeast of Atlanta.

With warmer winters and temperate summers, White County features a cool annual temperature of 56.3ºF. White County experiences around 69 inches of rainfall a year and only 2.4 inches of snowfall.
